16th Biennial Fiber Show
August 20 - September 14, 2010
The 16th Biennial Fiber Show will be held at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids from August 20 to September 14. The exhibit will hang in two large gallery rooms on the main floor at Kendall. They will be open for public viewing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday until August 26. Beginning August 29, they will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The building is closed on Sunday.
Saturday, September 11, will be a busy day at Kendall. The MLH Steering Committee will be meeting at 10 a.m. in Room 103. The MLH Board will have its autumn meeting there over lunch at noon. (Participants may bring their own food or a boxed lunch will be available for purchase.) An artists’ reception will be held in the galleries from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with an address by the show’s juror Geary Jones and the presentation of awards at 3 p.m., again in Room 103. All MLH members are encouraged to view the exhibit and enjoy the work of their artisan colleagues.
Kendall College is located in downtown Grand Rapids on the northwest corner of Division and Fountain. A convenient parking lot is located one block directly west of the college on Ionia. Metered street parking is available in the area. It is free after 6 p.m. and on weekends.
