General Information

On-line opens January 6, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. and closes April 15, 2020. A link to the on-line registration site will be available on our Website,

On-Site Check-in will begin on June 4 at the Cook Hall Lobby, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.     115 East 10th Street,  Holland, MI 49423-3515

Classes will be held in Martha Miller, Maas, or the Schaap Science building.

There will be helpers at these locations to assist you bringing in looms and supplies to your classroom during the late afternoon and early evening, June 4.

Cook Hall is an air conditioned dorm.  It is set up as suites, with two rooms, connected by a bathroom.  Each room holds up to 2 students.  You are welcome to sign up with a roommate, or for a single room, to be shared by either one or two students in the other room in the suite.

Alternative housing can be reserved at Haworth Inn, 616-395-7200 which is close to Cook Hall.

What to Bring:  You may wish to bring your own sheets, as the mattresses are extended twins, and the furnished sheets are often not long enough.   You may also want to bring your own pillow, a reading light, hangers, an umbrella, an extra blanket, hair dryer, and do remember your own soap, shampoo, and such.  A light weight sweater or jacket is recommended as some of the classrooms are quite cool. Two towels, washcloths, bed linens, pillow, and a blanket are furnished.

Hope College offers breakfast lunch, and dinner.  The city of Holland has their main street two blocks from where we will be staying, so there are food choices in town, as well.

Hope College is an alcohol free campus.  We ask you to please respect this while you are on campus.

Emergency Phone number for the Campus is 616-395-7000

Overnight Parking

While at Hope College, please do not park on the streets overnight as this will earn one a parking ticket!  You may park in the parking lot north of 9th Street, behind the Martha Miller Building and behind Schaap Science Building.  A map of parking lots will be provided when you check in at on-site registration in Cook Hall.   Feel free to park in front of Cook while registering.
