“TWILL EXPLORATIONS” ZOOM LECTURE  (1 Hour)

Twill is one of the basic weave structures, and is extremely versatile. It is ages old, has been used in many cultures to create wonderful woven patterns, but is still evolving with the application of computer aided design! After reviewing the basics of Twill structures on 4, 8, and 16 shafts, we will explore ways I have used Twill structures to design unique fabrics for the home, for garments, and for artistic expression.  This lecture will expand your appreciation of the design potential of Twill.

MLH areas served: All & National
